Sinossi/synopsis
"10 Minuta"
è un cortometraggio del 2002 che mette a confronto dieci
minuti della vita di un turista giapponese a Roma con il
sanguinoso dramma di una famiglia bosniaca; gli
avvenimenti si svolgono nello stesso tempo, a meno di
un'ora di distanza dalla città assediata di Sarajevo...

"10 Minuta" is a 2002 short film contrasting ten
minutes in the life of a Japanese tourist in Rome with
the bloody drama of a Bosnian family taking place at the
same time less than an hour away in the besieged city of
Sarajevo...

Biografia/Biography
AHMED Imamovic è nato a Sarajevo nel 1971. Nel 2002 si è
laureato in regia presso la Sarajevo Academy of
Performing Arts. Durante i suoi studi ha diretto
numerosi spettacoli teatrali e film, tra i quali il più
importante è stato WOMEN, un film documentario
diretto da Imamović nel 1997. Durante la guerra a
Sarajevo, 1992-1995, è stato un membro attivo del
Sarajevo Group of Authors (SaGA) realizzando, come
direttore della fotografia, numerosi documentari sulla
guerra e l'assedio di Sarajevo. Nel 1995 ha realizzato
un film documentario sulla prima edizione del
Sarajevo Film Festival. Ha collaborato nella
produzione di Ademir Kenovic THE PERFECT CIRCLE e
di Michael Winterbottom WELCOME TO SARAJEVO. Nel
2002 Imamović gira 10 MINUTA, un cortometraggio
realizzato per il diploma in regia e vince gli European
Film Academy Award come miglior cortometraggio; Sarajevo
Film Festival - Miglior cortometraggio. Con 10 MINUTA
Ahmed Imamović è diventato uno dei nomi e delle figure
più importanti del cinema della Bosnia-Erzegovina, il
cortometraggio è stato presentato in numerosi festival
in tutto il mondo. Inoltre Imamović ha collaborato alla
sceneggiatura di FUSE, il primo lungometraggio di
Pjer Žalica. / AHMED IMAMOVIĆ was born in
Sarajevo in 1971.
He graduated directing at Sarajevo Academy of Performing
Arts in 2002. During his studies he directed several
theater plays and films, among which the most important
one was WOMEN, a documentary film Imamović directed in
1997. During the war in Sarajevo, 1992-1995, he was an
active member of Sarajevo Group of Authors (SaGA) making
numerous documentary films about the war and the siege
of Sarajevo as a director of photography. He made a
documentary film about the First Sarajevo Film Festival
in 1995. He also worked on the production of Ademir
Kenović's THE PERFECT CIRCLE and Michael Winterbottom's
WELCOME TO SARAJEVO. Imamović directed short film 10
MINUTES as his graduation film and this film won 2002
European Film Academy Award for the Best Short Film;
Sarajevo Film Festival – Best short film and other
awards. With 10 MINUTES Ahmed Imamović became one of the
most important names and figures of cinema of Bosnia and
Herzegovina and the film was presented at numerous film
festivals all over the world. Imamović has also
collaborated with
Pjer Žalica on the screenplay for Žalica’s first
feature film FUSE.
